Preowned Sony FE 16-35mm f4 Zeiss
Sony Zeiss Vario-Tessar T FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS – (Preowned - Grade B)*
The Sony Zeiss 16-35mm f/4 is a high-performance wide-angle zoom designed for full-frame E-mount cameras. It is a favorite for landscape, real estate, and travel photographers who want the legendary Zeiss T* contrast and color science in a stabilized, compact build. This Grade B unit at Megapixel Camera Store is priced lower due to cosmetic wear on the barrel, offering professional optical performance at a significant discount.
Condition & Shop Technical Check
Condition Grade: Grade B (User Condition) – The metal zoom and focus rings show visible white marks and paint thinning from regular use. This is a common cosmetic characteristic of this specific Sony-Zeiss model and does not affect the mechanical grip or rotation.
Optics: Pristine & Scratchless. We have thoroughly inspected the front and rear elements. There are no scratches, coating marks, fungus, or haze. The Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating is fully intact.
Mechanics: Zoom and focus rings operate smoothly without any "gritty" feel. The built-in Optical SteadyShot (OSS) has been tested and is fully functional.
Includes: Front cap, rear cap, and the original petal-type lens hood.
Key Performance Features
Zeiss T Anti-Reflective Coating:* This legendary coating virtually eliminates ghosting and flare, delivering the high-contrast "Zeiss look" that professionals seek.
Constant f/4 Maximum Aperture: Maintain a consistent exposure throughout the entire 16-35mm zoom range. No need to adjust your settings as you zoom in or out.
Optical SteadyShot (OSS): Built-in image stabilization helps you capture sharp handheld shots in low light, even on older Sony bodies that lack In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS).
Advanced Optical Design: Features five aspherical elements, including one large-diameter AA (advanced aspherical) element and three ED elements to ensure edge-to-edge sharpness and minimal distortion.
Compact & Weather-Resistant: Designed for travel, the lens features a dust- and moisture-resistant construction for shooting in challenging environments.
7-Blade Circular Aperture: Produces smooth, natural-looking out-of-focus highlights (bokeh) for wide-angle environmental portraits.
